Zapotec Textiles

All Zapotec textiles are made of 100% wool. They are hand-woven in Teotitlan, Oaxaca, Mexico according to the ancient traditions of the Zapotec people. Zapotec culture, weaving skills, and language have been passed down from generation to generation since 500 B.C., making the Zapotec people true master weavers. Wool is collected by hand from sheep in the area and all weaving is done by hand on wooden looms. Because each piece is handmade, no two pieces are identical, and the size of items can vary slightly.

Our textile collection will change regularly as we rotate items in and out of the storefront. Four-piece coaster sets will be available soon.
