All Zapotec textiles are made of 100% wool. They are hand-woven in Teotitlan, Oaxaca, Mexico according to the ancient traditions of the Zapotec people. Zapotec culture, weaving skills, and language have been passed down from generation to generation since 500 B.C., making the Zapotec people true masters of their art. Wool is collected by hand from sheep in the area and all weaving is done by hand on wooden looms.
Because each piece is handmade, no two pieces are identical, and the size of items can vary slightly.
