Primary Plants is a 501(c)3 founded & directed by Jessica Schutz, the owner of Green Lady Gardens. The mission of Primary Plants is to give the therapeutic benefits of indoor gardening to diverse primary school children in the Denver metro area, with a particular focus on Title 1 schools & immigrant & refugee children.
Unfortunately, due to Covid, there are no events. However, we would still like to donate planting suppliers for remote activities. Mental health is more important than ever right now as we all deal with isolation, distance, & fear of the unknown. We believe the therapeutic properties of plants can help us through this situation. Many students are also missing their art classes & community gardens. We hope learning to pot & care for plants is a good stand-in.
If you work at or with a Title 1 school in the Denver Public School District, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
to discuss obtaining materials.
